Crews were dispatched at 7:15 a.m. to spread salt on the main streets. At 8 a.m., crews began salting alleys and collecting garbage/recycling. At 8:30 a.m., plowing began on main streets. Once the snow let up around 10 a.m., trucks began plowing/salting residential streets. Garbage/recycling collection is on schedule, and the drop-off is open. Yard waste collection will resume after the snow work is complete and will continue Friday, Nov. 22. Every attempt is being made to not disrupt yard waste piles left in the City right of way. Piles will be removed as soon as possible.

It's election season! We love when voters advocate for their candidates, but please don't post those election signs in public right-of-way. We're talking about things like light poles, boulevards, city trees, medians, the area between the sidewalk and street, etc. City officials can immediately remove and dispose of illegally posted signs, and we don't want to have to do that! Please make sure you're posting signs on private property with the permission of the owner or occupant. Thanks for your help to make sure we properly use our right-of-way.
