There has been a water service leak at 908. S. 76th St. Crews will begin the repairs at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30. All northbound traffic will be detoured east on Washington Street to 75th Street, north on 75th Street to Walker Street, and back west on Walker Street to 76th Street. Southbound traffic will not be affected. Repairs should be complete by 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

SBA Offers Disaster Relief to Wisconsin Businesses, Private Nonprofits, and Residents Affected by August Severe Storms - Low-Interest Disaster Loans Now Available
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced the availability of low interest federal disaster loans for Wisconsin businesses, private nonprofits, and residents affected by severe storms and flooding occurring Aug. 9-12, 2025. The SBA issued a disaster declaration in response to a request received from Gov. Tony Evers, on Sept. 10, 2025.
The declaration covers primary Wisconsin counties of Milwaukee, Washington and Waukesha; which are eligible for both Physical damage loans and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) from the SBA. Small businesses and most private nonprofit (PNP) organizations in the following adjacent counties are eligible to apply only for SBA EIDLs: Dodge, Fond Du Lac, Jefferson, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan and Walworth.
Businesses and nonprofits are eligible to apply for business physical disaster loans and may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace disaster-damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory, and other business assets.
Homeowners and renters are eligible to apply for home and personal property loans and may borrow up to $100,000 to replace or repair personal property, such as clothing, furniture, cars, and appliances. Homeowners may apply for up to $500,000 to replace or repair their primary residence.

The Morgan Avenue Drop-Off Site
The drop-off site at S. 116th Street south of Morgan Avenue will close for the year at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26. It will reopen next year on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
Fall Yard Waste Collection
Fall yard waste collection begins on Sept. 28 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 16. During this timeframe, yard waste materials such as leaves, weeds, flowers, vines, and other non-fruit or vegetable material can be placed in the curb-line of the street. Brush Collection
Brush collection ends on Friday, Oct. 3. Now is your last chance to place brush, sticks, trimmings, and branches out on your scheduled recycling pick-up day for collection. Limit one cubic yard. The last Summer Concert Series of the season is tonight! Join us at Veterans Memorial Park (6900 W.
