The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) in partnership with the City of West Allis, is reconstructing W. National Avenue from 108th Street (WIS 100) to Lincoln Avenue. Work is scheduled for completion in late fall 2027. The following work is scheduled to take place.

Beginning Wednesday, September 16, 2026:

Westbound National Avenue between Lincoln Avenue and I-41/I-894 is scheduled to reopen.

Eastbound National Avenue is scheduled to close between the northbound entrance ramp to I- 41/I-894 and Lincoln Avenue for reconstruction.

• The northbound I-41/894 exit ramp to National Avenue is scheduled to close long-term as part of this work

• Westbound National Avenue between the southbound entrance ramp to I-41/I-894 and Cleveland Avenue remains closed for storm sewer replacement.

• The southbound I-41/I-894 exit ramp to National Avenue remains closed

NOTE: All traffic east of 102nd Street and west of 99th Street must enter the freeway.

DETOURS

• National Avenue Detour: Motorists are encouraged to use 108th Street (WIS 100) and Lincoln Avenue to get around the closure

• I-41/I-894/US 45 Exit Ramp Detour: Motorists

are encouraged to use the exit ramps at Beloit Road, Oklahoma Avenue, Lincoln Avenue and

• Greenfield Avenue to get around the closure
