Did you know that the Public Beautification Committee (supported by the Public Works Forestry Division) sponsors annual awards for beautiful yards and properties in West Allis? Nominations are now open for the 2026 season! Awards are given to businesses and homeowners who devote extra effort to their property’s beautification and maintenance. Categories include Commendable Property, Best Porch, and Patriotic Display.
Winners are awarded a framed certificate and a yard sign, honored in a ceremony, and have their property included in a photo and video on the City website.
Nominations for Commendable Property and Best Porch are due by Wednesday, June 17, and nominations for Patriotic Display are due three days prior to Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Independence Day.
