Registration is now open for the West Allis Police Department's Community Police Academy. This 10-week course provides residents of West Allis with an overview of the police department's operations as well as issues facing law enforcement. Attendees will meet on Mondays from March 2 through May 4, from 6-9 p.m. in the West Allis Police Department Assembly Room at 11301 W. Lincoln Ave.
Presentations will be provided by frontline personnel such as patrol officers, K-9 handlers, traffic investigators, detectives, and SWAT members. Participants will also have the opportunity to fire a handgun on our firing range.
