On Thursday, Jan. 22, over 20 participants from 11 congregations met to discuss community outreach efforts in West Allis and how best to work together to share resources and best practices. The key takeaways from the meeting are an interest in reviving an inter-faith coalition for opportunities to collaborate and working with the emerging homeless support coalition to explore opportunities to enhance community care.
The conversation will continue Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 6 p.m. at the West Allis-West Milwaukee Recreation Center in the Multipurpose Room 97 at 2450 S. 68th St.
