West Allis Community Impact Partnership & Foundation - now accepting donations to help flood victims.

The West Allis Community Impact Partnership and Foundation was created to support our community during times of need and beyond. Our mission is to strengthen West Allis through high-impact philanthropy, grassroots grantmaking, and community-inspired initiatives. We aim to increase civic engagement, cultivate local leadership, and leverage community resources to enhance the quality of life for all residents.

Although this organization was being formed prior to the recent flood, the flood disaster accelerated its launch with support from the City of West Allis in promoting the effort through its website and social media. However, the Foundation is an independent organization and will soon have its own website and social media channels.

Donate

In response to the recent flooding, the Foundation is accepting donations that will go directly to helping West Allis flood victims. All funds collected will go directly to support people within the City of West Allis who have been impacted by the flood emergency.

Donors may request that their dollars go toward specific circumstances, or they can contribute to the general relief fund to be distributed at the discretion of the Foundation and its Task Force. Funds will be managed by the Flood Relief Task Force of the Foundation, which will determine how the funds are distributed in the community. This group will rely heavily on data collected through the OpenGov form and other connections that arise from within the community. With approval from the Foundation Board, the Task Force will be responsible for devising a system for disbursement, tracking donations, issuing letters of receipt, and providing public updates on funds received and spent.

This is a chance for neighbors, businesses, and community members to come together to support families as they recover and rebuild. To date (8/27/25), the fund has collected $10,800 from the Knights of Columbus, the West Allis Fire Fighters Charity, and donations collected at the community Weenie Roast organized by Ald. Halvorsen, Ald. Novak, and Ald. Nowling.
