Art on the Plaza
Friday, Sept. 5 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Centennial Plaza
Now in its eighth year, the annual Art on the Plaza event sponsored by Inspiration Studios and the City of West Allis is getting a creative boost, thanks to a Creative Communities grant award from the Wisconsin Arts Board. This year’s expanded format places special emphasis on showcasing local West Allis artists, with new booths reserved specifically for creatives who live and work in our community.
The event will continue to feature its popular live music and artisan booths, while introducing interactive art experiences, including:
A community participatory art installation
Live art demonstrations and “meet the artist” moments
A chalk artist encouraging public involvement
A face painter for children and families
This celebration of art in the heart of West Allis is free, family-friendly, and full of opportunities to make, see, and experience art firsthand.
