WE Energies has begun a gas service renewal project on S. 71st Street between W. Greenfield Avenue and W. Rogers Street. The project will happen in three phases, starting the first phase near W. Greenfield Avenue towards the south. During the service install phase, two-way traffic should be maintained to through-traffic only. During the restoration portion of the phases, WE Energies has requested a complete closure. At that time, a detour will be set up. We are currently waiting for a detour plan from WE Energies. The project is estimated to take approximately six weeks.
