Public Works crews will be jetting City sewer mains throughout the week. Sewer jetting cleans sewer lines and drain pipes using high-pressure water streams to blast clogs, debris (such as grease, roots, etc.), and other obstructions to prevent backups and to maintain optimal wastewater flow.
Due to the high pressure, this maintenance can cause rattling of toilets or water to be sprayed out of the toilet. If you live in areas listed below, we recommend you close the lids of your toilets.
Locations for the next weeks:
The area between the railroad, S. 60th Street, W. Lincoln Avenue, S. 68th Street and W. Becher Place.
