Walk-in Blood Pressure Clinics are offered for West Allis/West Milwaukee residents Monday through Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm at the West Allis Health Department.

Child Health Assessment

Child Health Assessment

Parents who have questions or concerns about their child's growth and development are encouraged to call for information and an appointment with a Public Health nurse.

Communicable Disease Control

All communicable diseases, such as hepatitis, measles, tuberculosis, and food or water borne illness must be reported to the Health Department.


Community Health Assessment and Planning

The WAWM Community Health Assessment (CHA) 2015 is now available online. This assessment serves as the basis for developing a five-year Community Health Improvement Plan.


Health Information & Referral Line

A Public Health Nurse is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to provide residents with information, consultation, and community referral for any health-related concerns or questions.

Public Health Nurses are available to visit families with newborns and children with special health needs.

The Health Department offers immunizations to residents of all ages following the ACIP immunization schedule.

Lead Poisoning Prevention

Lead Poisoning Prevention

The Health Department offers a free lead inspection of your home, education about lead hazards, free blood-lead screening for children six months to six years, HEPA vacuum rental and more.

Free pregnancy screening tests are offered at the West Allis Health Department Clinics at no cost to West Allis and West Milwaukee residents.
