Important: 
  • In order to register to vote in the City of West Allis, you must have been living in your residence at least 10 days prior to the election.
  • State law does not allow voter registration on the Saturday, Sunday, or Monday prior to election day.
  • Previous Name and/or Address. If you are registered elsewhere in Wisconsin and have recently moved to the City of West Allis, you must notify the election officials of your previous address you were registered. 

  
If you are not registered to vote in the City of West Allis, you may register to vote in the following ways:

In Person 
During open registration residents may register at the Clerk’s Office, 7525 W. Greenfield Ave, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.


Online 
Register to vote a  My Vote Wisconsin.   

You MUST include your proof of residence when returning your voter registration application to the Clerk’s Office. 

Please note, the cut off for mailing in your registration to the Clerk’s Office is 20 days before the election (October 17).  After that date, you will need to print off the application and either bring it to the Clerk's Office to register or at your polling location.


By Mail
Download, print, and fill out a Voter Registration Application, and mail it to the Clerk's office at 7525 W. Greenfield Ave., West Allis, WI 53214.
 
You MUST include your proof of residence when returning your voter registration application to the Clerk’s Office.  Please note, the cut off for mailing in your registration to the Clerk’s Office is 20 days before the election (October 17) after that date, you will need to register at the Clerk’s Office or at your polling location.

  Things to Bring to Register to Vote at the Polls
1.  Proof of residency. For procedures on how to register to vote and the documents you           need, click here

2. Driver’s license or Wisconsin State Identification number AND expiration date of the document. If you have not been issued a driver’s license or Wisconsin State ID, then you must provide the last four digits of your social security number.
