The City of West Allis is committed to supporting healthy lifestyles for our residents. The West Allis Farmers Market offers fresh, locally produced fruits, vegetables, honey, meats, eggs, and baked goods and is open May – November. A community garden is available at Rainbow Park at 700 S. 119th St. Outdoor recreational opportunities as well as privately owned spas, gyms, yoga studios, personal training studios, and other fitness establishments abound in West Allis. In addition, our accredited West Allis Health Department provides community resources to support our residents’ health.

Historical Sites
West Allis Historical Society
Long-time residents and new visitors will find a rich history to explore in West Allis. The City’s historic homes showcase architecture from the late nineteenth century through post-World War II modern design. Unique homes built from Sears and Roebuck catalogues or inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright are maintained with meticulous pride of ownership and dot our unique neighborhoods. Two of West Allis’ 25 distinct neighborhoods – Juneau Highlands and Kopperud Park - are on the National Registry of Historic Places, as are ten unique properties. This park opened in the Fall of 2014 and is located at the northeast corner of S. 84th St. and W. National Ave.  This urban skate park provides residents a state-of-the-art location for an expanded recreation option, unique to the Milwaukee-metro region. Bring your board and catch some air!

Wisconsin State Fair Park and Expo Center
WI State Fair
The Wisconsin State Fair Park is situated in both West Allis and Milwaukee, and is operated by the Wisconsin State Fair board of directors. The nearly 200-acres Fair Park is a year-round entertainment venue hosting activities, events, meetings and more throughout the four seasons. Home to the Exposition Center, Tommy G. Thompson Youth Center, the Milwaukee Mile Speedway, Products Pavilion and many other facilities, hundreds of events are held on the fairgrounds each year.
