  2. Bike Rodeo

    July 18, 2019, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

    Join us for our free children's bike rodeo on Thursday, July 18 from 1 - 3 p.m. at Irving Elementary School, 10230 W. Grant St. Kids will learn the rules of the road and get to ride the road safety course. They will practice safe cycling skills and can get a bike safety inspection and helmet fittings and inspections to make sure they stay safe while cycling. Children attending this event should already be comfortable riding their bikes independently. Make sure kids bring their bikes and helmets, and download, print, and bring the permission form (PDF) with you to attend: https://www.westalliswi.gov/DocumentCenter/View/13912/2019_BikeRodeo_Flyer This event is sponsored by the City of West Allis, West Allis Police Department, and West Allis-West Milwaukee Recreation & Community Services.

  3. Market Place at the West Allis Farmers Market

    Market Place is a fun outdoor shopping experience held at the West Allis Farmers Market, 6501 W. National Ave., on the first and third Sundays of June through October from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Part craft fair, part rummage sale, the grounds of the West Allis Farmers Market come alive with vendors selling everything from crafts to antiques to tools, or record albums to jewelry to knit goods. There is no admission fee to come shop the Market on Market Place days.

    Meet your neighbors at National Night Out! Sponsored by Aurora-West Allis Medical Center, National Night Out is a national effort to strengthen communities and prevent crime and drug abuse. Bring the family to enjoy games, food, face painting, inflatables, music, and fun all night long. The next day, neighborhoods throughout West Allis host block parties on their streets to unite neighbors and celebrate community spirit. National Night Out is organized by the West Allis Police Department Crime Prevention Bureau.

  7. Summer Jam Concert Series

    Join the City of West Allis and our partner, the Peanut Butter & Jelly Deli, for a family-friendly series of free outdoor concerts on select Thursdays this summer at Veterans' Memorial Park! Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and come hungry, because the Peanut Butter & Jelly Deli and local food trucks will join each concert. The West Allis-West Milwaukee Recreation & Community Services Department's Operation Recreation will be on hand with activities for kids of all ages. Join us for a fun night of food, music, and fun!
