We don't know them all, but we owe them all. This Veterans Day, we're launching our annual Veterans Giving Tree to honor veterans from the Milwaukee VA Medical Center who do not have families by fulfilling their modest gift requests.
See the full list of veterans and their gift requests on SignUpGenius. Choose your virtual star by clicking the 'Sign Up' button corresponding to the veteran you would like to purchase gifts for, and then 'Submit and Sign Up' at the bottom of the page.
Purchase the gifts for your veteran yourself, or share the spirit of the season by partnering with friends and family to purchase all the items on each veteran's wish list. Not all items may be easy to purchase, but we encourage gift-givers to do the best they can to fulfill each wish list.
Once you've purchased the requested gift(s), please return it wrapped to the Voluntary Service Unit at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center (5000 W. National Ave.) by Thursday, Dec. 18. Drop-off hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. from Nov. 12 through Dec. 18 (closed Thanksgiving). View the map for directions.
Please make sure the gift tags are clearly marked with the name and unit number specified on the gift tag. If there are multiple gifts for the same veteran, please make sure all packages are clearly marked with their name and number. All gifts should be either gift-wrapped or put into a gift bag.
