2021 Independence Day Parade Participant Registration Form

  1. Parade Date and Time
    Friday, July 2nd at 7 p.m.
  2. Parade Line-Up Instructions
    The parade marshaling area is at the intersection of 77th Street and Greenfield Avenue. All groups should report no later than 6:30 pm. Parade Line-Up will be emailed approximately one week prior to the parade and will be posted at www.westalliswi.gov. We recommend when you arrive to please see one of the parade marshals to confirm your parade lineup number. Please Note: For safety purposes, no motor vehicles will be allowed on 77th Street. ALL motorized vehicles will be marshaled on Greenfield Avenue at 77th Street going west and should report to this area beginning at 6:15 pm. ALL marching/walking units will be marshaled on 77th St. north of Greenfield Ave. All groups must be ready to begin/ perform at 6:45 pm.
  3. Parade Route
    The parade will proceed from 77th St. down Greenfield Avenue to 70th Street. The parade then will proceed south on 70th St. and end at 70th & Orchard (Vet’s Park). In order to keep the flow of the parade and avoid gaps, we ask that you do not stop to perform but instead continually perform throughout the parade route. The parade will be recorded by the City of West Allis.
  4. Post Parade Celebration
    The City of West Allis has cancelled its post-parade celebration due to concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic.
  5. Candy
    For the safety of all: • Candy is not allowed to be thrown. • Candy Must be handed out at curbside.
  6. Compensation
    For compensated units, payment will be sent out at the completion of the parade by the City of West Allis.
  7. Inclement Weather Policy
    1) If the parade is canceled due to inclement weather, prior to 4:00 pm on July 2nd, no compensation will be made to any group by the City of West Allis for their original contract agreement. 2) If the parade is canceled due to inclement weather, from 4:00 pm until step off, groups will receive one-half of the original contract agreement. 3) If the parade is canceled due to inclement weather, after step off on July 2nd, the City of West Allis will compensate each group for the full amount as stated in their original contract agreement.
  8. COVID-19 Policy
    If the parade is canceled due to any government order that prohibits this event from occurring, no compensation will be made to any group by the City of West Allis for their original contract agreement.
