Join Us Thursday as We Talk Dog Parks

West Allis residents are encouraged to attend the Dog Park Community Conversation on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be located at the West Allis City Hall Council Chambers, 7525 W. Greenfield Ave.

Mayor Dan Devine will be in attendance, along with the Department of Development. An open conversation will follow a brief presentation at the beginning of the meeting, with some of the topics of discussion consisting of location, funding, and concerns. Any suggestions and questions are also welcome.


Bublr Ribbon Cutting

Bublr Bikes is Officially Here

Mayor Dan Devine, alderpersons, city officials, and representatives from Bublr® Bikes celebrated the arrival of Bublr in West Allis on Oct. 17. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the Bublr Bike station at the West Allis Farmers Market. Eight Bublr Bikes stations are in West Allis. Halloween Hunt is On This Saturday

West Allis Downtown Halloween Hunt will be held Saturday, October 28, 10 a.m. to Noon. Kids and their families are invited to show off their costumes and trick or treat at 30 downtown shops. Visit the West Allis Downtown Business Improvement District website for further details.

Christmas Tree Donations Wanted

Do you or someone you know want to have an evergreen tree removed from a property in West Allis?  The City of West Allis is looking for donations of Christmas trees to be used as displays in boulevards, as well as for boughs in the City Hall Christmas display and in other planting beds throughout the City.  Donated trees will be removed at no cost to the property owner.

Community Breakfast of Thanks & Giving Nov. 20

Reserve your seat at the annual Community Breakfast of Thanks & Giving on Monday, Nov. 20 at 7:15 a.m. Join the West Allis Community Improvement Foundation at the Hampton Inn & Suites-Milwaukee West for a delicious buffet breakfast, followed by program speaker Senior Pastor Mark Garsombke of Crimson Way Church. Proceeds from the breakfast benefit West Allis and West Milwaukee food pantries, and additional donations of non-perishable food items are welcome.

Tickets are $30 or tables of eight are available for $240, and must be purchased in advance. Order your tickets and learn more.

Have a Safe and Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treat in West Allis is Sunday, October 29, 4 - 7 p.m. Residents are reminded to participate in trick or treat by leaving their porch light on to let trick or treaters know they are participating. Parents are reminded to closely supervise their children's activities, inspect all treats carefully, and take precautions in areas of vehicular traffic. Have fun and be safe!
