The City of West Allis is working to put in place a license plate reader system that will allow your license plate to be a parking permit. Beginning with December 2022 monthly permits, no sticker will be mailed to you, and you do not have to display a sticker in your vehicle. Annual and Quarterly permit holders should continue using stickers until they renew their permit for 2023. For 2023 all permits will be virtual, and no stickers will be used.
Moving to this process provides increased efficiency, convenience, and cost savings in mailings, supplies, and staff time. It also maximizes the use of technology already in use.
Parking permits are available to buy online at www.westalliswi.gov/parking.
Further details are coming soon and will be available at www.westalliswi.gov/parking.
Note: If you have a handicap placard, please stop into WAPD with your State ID Card, your handicap placard, and your vehicle information. You can also email copies of the documents to email@example.com. We will then add the eligible vehicle(s) to the electronic permit list. Please take note that you must continue to properly display your handicap placard and follow overnight parking rules in the City of West Allis. If your vehicle has disabled license plates, there is no need to register with the City of West Allis.
