WEEKLY COMMUNITY UPDATE

STOP BY OUR FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY, JULY 29 

Are you ready for another scrumptious Food Truck Friday? Visit the West Allis Farmers Market, 6501 W. National Ave., this Friday from 5 - 8 p.m.! Enjoy live, acoustic rock from band Hindsight; drink delicious brews from Westallion Brewing Company and Ope Brewing Co.; get your face painted from Purple Sea Face Painting; and enjoy food from the following food trucks: Riley's Good Dogs, Tots On The Street, Flour Girl & Flame, RollMKE, Little Havana, Lake Effect Coffee Co., Pete's Pops, El Sazón Dominicano, Taqueria La Vecindad, Twisted Plants, Taco Barrio, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Flip's Mini Donuts, Swaye Tea, and EZ Tiki!

STATE FAIR IS ALMOST HERE & OUR DOWNTOWN BID HAS THE PERFECT PREGAME!  

Get your tickets for the Downtown West Allis Fair Food Crawl. On August 3, join 13 West Allis Restaurants and try their take on Wisconsin State Fair Classics.  

  • Date: Wednesday, August 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. 
  • General Admission is only $15 
  • VIP Admission is $20 and gets you an extra hour with a 4:30 start time 
  • Check-In Time is 5:15 p.m. (4:15 for VIPs) at Old National Bank Parking Lot (7401 W. Greenfield Ave.) Tickets are sold online or in person at B&K Bar Supplies (7100 W. Greenfield Ave.) 

The Wisconsin State Fair opens next Thursday, August 4 and goes until Sunday, August 14. Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis is the home for the Wisconsin State Fair and in 2022, the Fair will celebrate 171 years of tradition and aim to welcome over one million fairgoers over the course of an 11-day run. View the full fair schedule.   

You’ll have fun no matter where you turn, whether you visit Wisconsin’s largest agricultural showcase; tune in to the Main Stage for headlining acts; chow down at Original Cream Puff and Sporkies food competition; or chance rides & attractions including the Ejection Seat, the Giant Slide, or scenic rides on the SkyGlider.  

UTILITY BILLING & PAYMENT PORTAL DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE JULY 29 - 31 

The City's Utility Payment site will be down for maintenance starting this Friday, July 29, and may continue through Sunday, July 31. If you want to pay your utility bill online during this time, please wait until after the portal is available starting on Monday, August 1. Thank you, and we apologize for the inconvenience. 

ABSENTEE VOTING DATES 

You can register to vote through our City Clerk's Office until August 5, or at your polling place on August 9 (Election Day)! More information on these deadlines, here, www.myvote.wi.gov/en-us/Voter-Deadlines.  

Looking to vote absentee in-person? Here are your upcoming opportunities at City Hall: 

  • July 26, 27, 28, 29 from 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 
  • August 1, 2, 3, 4 from 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 
  • August 5 from 11:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
