YARD WASTE COLLECTION BEGINS APRIL 18; BRUSH BEGINS MAY 10
Spring yard waste collection and brush collection have not yet begun for this year! Please do not place these materials for pick-up until collection periods begin. Crews are currently working on other tasks such as street sweeping, pothole and water cut repairs, catch basin repair, sewer manhole repairs, sewer mains cleaning.
2021 collection periods are:
- Spring Yard Waste Collection: April 18 – May 9
- Fall Yard Waste Collection: Sept. 26 – Nov. 14
- Brush Collection: May 10 – Oct. 8 (on your recycling day)
In the meantime, you may bring yard waste and brush to the Municipal Yard Drop-Off Site, 6300 W. McGeoch Ave. Fees will apply for drop-offs of more than one cubic yard of material. Learn more: https://www.westalliswi.gov/1556/Brush-Yard-Waste-Disposal
IN-PERSON ABSENTEE VOTING CONTINUES FOR APRIL 6 ELECTION
In-person absentee voting is now underway at City Hall for the April 6 Spring Election. Please note the following important dates and hours:
- In-Person Absentee Voting Hours
- 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (March 24, 25, 26, 29, 30, 31, April 1)
- 11:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. (April 2)
- Drive-Thru Voting
- 1 - 4 p.m. (today and March 31)
- Friday, April 2 – last day to register to vote and/or vote early in person
- Tuesday, April 6 – ELECTION DAY. Polls open 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- All Absentee Ballots MUST be returned to City Hall on Election Day by 8 p.m. to be counted.
