  1. Porktoberfest

    October 5, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Farmers Market

    The West Allis/West Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce and the Shepherd Express host this brand new event on Thursday, Oct. 5. Sample pork dishes from West Allis restaurants and caterers such as Aggie’s Bakery and Cake Shop, Ka-Bobs Bistro, Tall Guy and a Grill Catering, Twisted Bistro, The Farmer’s Wife, West Allis Cheese and Sausage Shoppe, and other Milwaukee restaurants. West Allis’ own Westallion Brewing Co. will provide craft beer. Milwaukee’s own blues-rock trio, Super Custom Deluxe, will entertain guests all evening long. Tickets are $35 per person or $60 for a pair. Tickets can be ordered at Porktoberfest will be held from 5 – 9 p.m., and the Farmers Market will be open regular hours, until 6 p.m., so you’ll also be able to do some shopping from our regular vendors before the Porktoberfest fun begins.   1. Random Fandom: My Little Pony edition

    October 5, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Library, Constitution Room

    Join us as we celebrate a different fandom each month with games, a trivia competition, and crafts. Right before the new movie, we'll be celebrating My Little Pony in October. You don't have to be a super fan to join in the fun, but you do have to be a kid or teen in 4th-12th grade. Registration is not required.

  1. Pocket Billiards

    October 5, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM @ Senior Center

    Play billiards from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at the West Allis Senior Center (billiards may be cancelled if a special event is scheduled in the lower level). A donation of $.25 per session is requested. These funds help maintain the billiards equipment. Open to all Senior Center members.

  2. Stained Glass Class

    Open to all Senior Center members, registration is required for this class. Learn about stained glass design and creation and make your own works of art. This class is taught by Jayne Baker and Rudy Cindric. Call 414-302-8700 to register. No classes June – August.

    Sing along to favorite tunes with this relaxed and informal group. Enjoy singing old time favorites spanning a number of decades. Free for all Senior Center members. No experience necessary and all are welcome.

    Join instructor Susie Melott for relaxing chair yoga. Susie guides participants through seated and standing postures with the support of a chair. Breathing techniques and a brief meditation round out this class. Visit to learn more about Susie and the benefits of yoga. Free for members of the West Allis Senior Center.

  5. Senior Meal Program

    The Milwaukee County Department on Aging Senior Meal Program is open to all seniors aged 60+ and their spouse of any age. Advance reservations are required by noon the day before. Call 414-289-6995 to reserve a meal. Participants are encouraged to contribute $3 per meal to help defray program expenses.
