The City of West Allis, in consultation with Spohn Ranch Skateparks, has constructed a Skate Park within Joyce Ann Radtke Park. This park opened in the Fall of 2014 and is located at the northeast corner of South 84th Street and West National Avenue This urban skate park provides residents a state-of-the-art location for an expanded recreation option, unique to the Milwaukee-metro region.
Design
The City held a public Design Workshop on November 15, 2012 to help finalize the design.
The park was completed in Summer 2014.
Site Selection
Based on the site selection overview, comments gathered at a Public Hearing held on October 2, 2012 and deliberations by elected officials, Radtke Park at the northeast intersection of S. 84th Street and W. National Avenue was selected to be the site of the West Allis Skate Park.
