As of Dec. 22, 2020, a new online parking permit portal was launched. You are now required to create a username and password at www.mygovernmentonline.org to purchase your permits online. It’s easy, fast, and secure, and your information will be saved so you can save time the next time you go online to buy your permit.

STEP 1. CREATE AN ACCOUNT | STEP 2. APPLY FOR A PERMIT
1. Create a new user account on MyGovernmentOnline.
While it may take a few minutes to initially set up an account in the system, renewing or repurchasing a permit will be easier than before. Beginning Dec. 22, 2020, please visit www.mygovernmentonline.org to set up an account to purchase a parking permit. If you need help with setting up your account, please go to www.mygovernmentonline.org/#contactus or call the My GovernmentOnline Helpdesk at 866-957-3764 during normal business hours, 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. After business hours you may leave a voicemail that will be answered the next day.

2. Apply for a new parking permit once logged into MyGovernmentOnline.
Please note: For 2021, Parking Permit fees are the same online as they are in person: Monthly Permit - $15, Quarterly Permit - $45, Annual Permit - $125.
IMPORTANT: Overnight parking permits purchased online for the current month will be mailed within two working days. If you do not receive your parking permit by mail within one week of its mailing day, please contact the Police Department Records Unit at 414-302-8080.

How to Renew Online
- Log in to www.mygovernmentonline.org
- Go to “My Account” in the upper right-hand corner
- Scroll down to “My Permits”
- Find the permit you need and click “View Permit”
- That will open a new window
- Then click the “Payments” Tab
- Scroll down to the “New Payment” section
- Click the “Pay Online” button
- The Payment Screen will open
Overnight Parking Permit
West Allis City Ordinances prohibits parking on City of West Allis streets from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. without a permit or permission. Overnight parking, where permitted, is restricted to the even numbered side of the street on those nights with an even calendar date before midnight, and to the odd numbered side of the street on those nights with an odd calendar date before midnight. These night parking regulations are in effect every night of the year. Apply for an overnight parking permit.
Temporary Overnight Parking Permission
Special permission for overnight parking between may be obtained by calling 414-302-8100 between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. No permission will be granted after 3 a.m. When calling, you will be asked for the location of the parked vehicle, the vehicle’s license plate number and the reason for the request. Special overnight parking permission may be requested a maximum of three times in any calendar month. Request overnight parking permission.
Municipal Parking Lot Permits
Parking in the City of West Allis parking lots in the downtown area (7000 to 7500 blocks of west Greenfield Avenue) as well as various locations throughout the city, requires a permit unless otherwise noted by a sign. Apply for a Municipal Lot Parking Permit.
