National Avenue Reconstruction Project

The City of West Allis is planning reconstruction of National Avenue from Lincoln Avenue to Highway 100. The first of three public information meetings will be held in Fall 2023. 

Timeline

• Summer 2023: Initial research and alternative development
• Fall 2023: First public information meeting
  • Share existing issues, potential designs, receive community feedback
• Early 2024: Second public information meeting
  • Share preliminary design, property access & temporary easements, receive community feedback
• 2026: Third public information meeting and construction
  • Share traffic control plan and detour

Design

The project team will consider a range of designs, including separated bike lanes, curb bump-outs, and more. An initial range of design options will be shared at the first public information meeting.
