code enforcement services

Code Enforcement services provided by the City of West Allis include the Property Maintenance Inspection Program and a Complaint/Referral program.

Property Maintenance Inspection Program

Beginning in 2001, the Property Maintenance Inspection Program instituted a proactive, rather than reactive, code enforcement area for exterior property maintenance through scheduled inspections of specific areas of the City. This program is funded with Community Development Block Grant funds and overseen by the Director of the Code Enforcement Department.

The Code Enforcement Department investigates complaints/referrals involving building, mechanical and zoning code violations. If you wish to file a complaint, you may either write a letter addressed to the City of West Allis Code Enforcement Department, 7525 W Greenfield Avenue, West Allis, WI 53214, call the Property Maintenance hotline at 414-302-8420 or fill out our Let Us Help form. If you wish to remain anonymous, you may address your complaints to your alderperson and he/she will write the complaint.
