Temporary Overnight Parking Permission
Permission for temporary overnight parking may be obtained online by clicking on the link below, or by phone by calling 414-302-8100 between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. No permission will be granted after 3 a.m. When calling, you will be asked for the address where the vehicle is parked, the vehicle's license plate number and the reason for the request. Special overnight parking permission may be requested a maximum of three times in any calendar month.

City ordinance 10. 105 states that no all-night parking shall be permitted, except by vehicles displaying night parking permits specifically issued for said vehicles or by vehicles bearing disabled plates or identification cards issued pursuant to Wisconsin Statute Sections 341. 14( 1), ( 1a), ( le), (lm), (Iq) or ( Ir) or Section 343. 51 or when special privilege permission has been granted by the Chief of Police or his designee. Permission may be granted for the same license plate for not more than 3 days per calendar month for no charge. You may read the full city ordinance here Overnight Parking Ordinance. Night parking, where permitted, shall be restricted to the even numbered side of the street on those nights with an even calendar date before midnight, and to the odd numbered side of the street on those nights with an odd calendar date before midnight.
You may request overnight parking permission only from 6 a.m. in the morning to 3 a.m. the next night for the current day. If you have an unusual circumstance, please call the West Allis Police Department at 414-302-8000.
- Police Officers have the right to override any permission if the vehicle is not legal to park on the street overnight or not legally parked (i.e, you may not park a trailer, a boat or vehicle in excess of 6,000 pounds overnight).
- You must be parked on the correct side of the street: even numbered side of the street on those nights with an even calendar date before midnight and odd numbered side of the street on those nights with an odd calendar date before midnight.
- Any mistyped plate information or falsification of any of the above information may result in a parking citation or even a fraud arrest.
- Failure to pay parking citations will result in the suspension of your license plates.
