Adult Summer Reading
Now - August 31st

For each four books adults ages 18 and up read, they can fill out a reading log which gives them an entry to win gift cards from local businesses or other prizes. Stop at the Adult information desk to register or sign up online at westallislibrary.beanstack.org  

Getting Crafty

Like to make things or just want to try something new? Then join us for these new craft projects for adults ages 18 and up. Each session is limited to 25 participants. To register, please stop by the Reference Desk or call (414) 302-8500.

Coloring Club
Thursdays: July 20th, August 17th and September 21st - 6:30-8:30 PM

Be sure to check out Coloring Club this summer! This drop in style program provides a place to sit back, relax and color. We'll provide all of the coloring pages and materials, you provide the creativity. Free for all ages. Registration is not required.

Ugly Art Night
Tuesday, August 1st - 6:30 PM 

Calling all not-so-great creative/DIY types! This is the contest for you. Vie for your spot with the ugliest piece of art. We'll proved the strange materials, you make the ugliest, most ridiculous piece of art in the allotted time. All creations will be judged and only one person will be crowned the winner of Ugly Art Night.

Classic '90s Family Moving Showings
Fridays, August 4th and 25th - 2:00 PM

Join us as we show a couple of our favorite classic family movies from the '90s. August 4th we'll be showing The Sandlot and on August 25th The Mighty Ducks. If you're a kid of the '90s with kids of your own, you don't want to miss this opportunity to share these classics with them. All showing begin at 2 pm in the Constitution Room.

You won't want to miss another excellent live performance by Jessica Michna. This time Ms. Michna will be here as former first Lady Mary Todd Lincoln. Hear bout Mrs. Lincoln's courtship with young lawyer Abraham Lincoln in Springfiedl, IL, life in the White House, the death of her husband and sons, and life after the White House.

Jessie Garcia and Her Time Following the Green Bay Packers

Join former Milwaukee-area and Wisconsin's first female sports newscaster, Jessie Garcia, as she shares stories and photographs from her book My Life with the Green and Gold, covering her time with the Packers. Packer fans won't want to miss this!

Basics of Canning
Thursday, September 14th - 7:00 PM

Joey and Holly Bard of the Wisconsin Vegetable Garden are back to provide an introduction to canning. Learn how this food preservation technique will make the flavors of your garden last even longer. 

Leisure Learners at the West Allis Public Library

     The West Allis Public Library Leisure Learners Programs are for adults who enjoy
viewing films and slideshows relating to travel, history and other subjects of general interest. Programs are held the second and fourth Monday of each month in the Constitution Room of the West Allis Public Library. Presentations begin at 10:00 am and last for approximately one hour.
