Getting Crafty
Mondays: April 24th and May 15th

Like to make things or just want to try something new? Then join us for these new craft projects for adults ages 18 and up. Each free session will feature a different project: Clothespin Signs, Spring Cards, Candle Holders and Slate Signs. Each session is limited to 25 participants. Coloring Club
Thursdays: May 4th and June 8th - 6:30-8:30 PM

It's back! This drop-in style program is exactly as it sounds: a place to relax and color! We'll provide all of the coloring pages and materials, you provide the creativity. Free for all ages.

Gavin Schmitt and the Milwaukee Mafia
Tuesday, April 25th - 7:00 PM

Everyone's heard something; now hear the real story about the Milwaukee Mafia. Join local author Gavin Schmitt as he talks about his book The Milwaukee Mafia. From crooked lawyers to corrupt cops, Schmitt will share anecdotes and photos of members of the Milwaukee Mafia, discussing the influence the mafia had in Wisconsin and the Midwest.

Spring Gardening Series
Thursday April 27th and Tuesday, May 16th - 7:00 PM

Now that spring is in full swing and you're planning all of your gardening projects, attend the West Allis Public Library's Spring Gardening Series. Joey and Holly Baird, better known as the Wisconsin Vegetable Gardener, will be here to get you in the mood and provide helpful hints as you begin planting your garden this spring. April 27th will focus on how to grow the best tomatoes and the presentation on May 16th will help you get the most out of your gardening space, no matter what the size. Keep in mind that Joey and Holly will be back in September to round out the series.

Comic Crafts for Free Comic Book Day
Saturday, May 6th - 1:00 - 4:00 PM

May 6th is Free Comic Book Day! All comic book and graphic novel enthusiasts are invited to join us in making comic book crafts in honor of Free Comic Book Day. Supplies provided. Registration is not required.

Leisure Learners at the West Allis Public Library

     The West Allis Public Library Leisure Learners Programs are for adults who enjoy
viewing films and slideshows relating to travel, history and other subjects of general interest. Programs are held the second and fourth Monday of each month in the Constitution Room of the West Allis Public Library. Presentations begin at 10:00 am and last for approximately one hour.
