A Memorial Day Program supported by the City of West Allis and coordinated by The Allied Veterans' Organizations of West Allis takes place each Memorial Day at Veterans’ Memorial Park at South 69 Street and West National Avenue. West Allis Ala Carte is a street festival along Greenfield Avenue from 70 Street to 76 Street that occurs the first Sunday in June to showcase the Downtown West Allis business district and bring the West Allis community outside for activities for all ages, from facepainting and music to food vendors. West Allis Ala Carte is organized by the Downtown West Allis Business Improvement District. Check their BID website for information about this year's event.

West Allis hosts two summer concert series at Veteran's Park at 70 St and National Avenue. Tuesday Night in the Park concerts are sponsored by the West Allis Police Department Crime Prevention Bureau.  Summer Band Concerts are held on Thursday evenings.  Bring your your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy these free, family-friendly concerts.  Check our home page news and calendar each summer for more dates and details.

West Allis goes all out for Independence Day and makes the celebration last for several days.  We start with the Breakfast of Champions, an event that honors West Allis high school senior scholars, musicians, and athletes for their achievements.  The Independence Day parade starts at 76 St. and Greenfield Ave. and proceeds to Veteran's Park at 70 St. and National Avenue where post parade entertainment provides fun for all.  The Grandstand Show and Fireworks cap the celebration at State Fair Park.  Check our home page news and calendar each summer for more details.

National Night Out is an annual crime prevention event sponsored by Aurora West Allis Medical Center. It is designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit, and promote crime and drug prevention awareness. Activities include a community festival with many fun activities for kids and adults as well as neighborhood block parties. West Allis plays host to the Wisconsin State Fair each August.  More information about these ten days of summer fun can be found on the State Fair website.

Organized by the West Allis Historical Society and held at the Historical Society Grounds at 84 St. and National Ave., this annual event highlights the history of West Allis up to becoming a city in 1906. Visit with mountain men, trappers, and Civil War re-enactors. Enjoy food, entertainment, local craftspeople, and the 1848 log schoolhouse. Held annually in October by the Downtown West Allis Business Improvement District along Greenfield Avenue, the car show features hundreds of classic cars, races, music, food and games. Sunday, October 5, 10 am - 3 pm. Over 350 Classic Cars - "Hot Wheel" Races - Music - Food - Games. Fun for the Whole Family! Held in West Allis on the last Sunday in October, generally from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Residents are encouraged to light their porch/post light if they are participating in Meet 'n Treat. Check the City calendar for this year's date and times. Often the day before the City Meet 'n Treat, the Downtown West Allis Business Improvement District will hold their Meet 'n Treat along Greenfield Avenue. Visitors are encouraged to come in costume for Halloween treats from participating Downtown West Allis merchants. On the first Saturday of December, the holiday season in West Allis is kicked off with Christmas on the Avenue along Greenfield Avenue between 76 St and 70 St.  Events may include such fun as ice sculpting, music, games, Breakfast With Santa and a craft fair.  Christmas on the Avenue is organized by the Downtown West Allis Business Improvement District. Check their BID website for information about this year's event. At the end of the day, watch the the Tree Lighting Ceremony at Centennial Plaza, 7525 W.
