  1. Summer Band Concert

    July 20, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ West Allis Veterans' Memorial Park

    Steve Beguhn will be performing pop/indie music at the July 20 concert, which is being sponsored by Quad/Graphics Inc. In the event of foul weather or other conditions beyond the City's control, concerts can be cancelled at the last minute. Information regarding concert status will be posted each Thursday afternoon on signs around the park. See the City's website (www.westalliswi.gov) or call 414-302-8833 for information. Please bring a lawn chair for your seating convenience.

  1. All Ages Summer Reading: Build A Better World

    Readers of all ages are invited to stop by the library and join our annual Summer Reading program. Starting June 1st, you can register online or in the library and be rewarded for reading!

  2. Library Makers- 3 Little Pigs Build-off

    July 20, 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM @ Library, Children's Story Room

    K5-5th Graders can join us for for Library Makers. Each month we will be making and playing something new--this session is 'The 3 Little Pigs Build-off'. Everyone knows the story of the 3 pigs, but in this program you become one of the pigs. Everyone will build a house out of straws, wooden sticks, or bricks (of Lego); then we'll see whose homes are still standing after our big bad wolf huffs and puffs and turns on a fan! Registration is not required.

  3. Teen Writers Camp

    July 20, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Library, Constitution Room

    Calling all teen writers! Join us for one or all five sessions of a writers camp this summer. We'll have writing prompts and talk about our work. Whether you write poetry, short stories or non-fiction, we'll have something for you! Writers Camp is open to students in grades 6-12 or ages 12-18 that live in Milwaukee County.

    July 20, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Library, Constitution Room

    Be sure to check out Coloring Club this summer! This drop-in style program is a place to sit back, relax, and color. We’ll provide the coloring pages and materials, you provide the creativity. No registration necessary. Free for artists of all ages.
